The transformation explores a completely new expression within the constraints of an existing condition.
For the refurbishment of the guestroom corridors at WEIL Hotel, Whitespade reimagined the existing spaces through material, colour, pattern and texture, giving an otherwise overlooked passageway a renewed identity.
Inspired by the formation era of Ipoh, the design looks at the city through its layers, patterns, textures and colours. These references are abstracted and translated into a contemporary hotel experience, creating a stronger sense of rhythm and character along the corridor.
